What is Hyaluronic acid?
Hyaluronic acid is the main structural component of connective tissue. Moisture in the skin is maintained by Hyaluronic acid. A single molecule will combine up to 500 molecules of water.
Young people have naturally high Hyaluronic levels in the skin. As we grow older, Hyaluronic levels decrease and our skin will start to show visible signs of ageing as elasticity decreases. Over time, UV rays also damage the skin. This process is known as photoaging.
